Do you have a dog that needs boredom buster activities? All dogs have amazing sniffing abilities. Use that nose for good in this fun class that is designed to help your dog build confidence, introduce your dog to scent work and identify odor. Class participants will work through scent-oriented puzzles training our dogs to find a particular odor on command. This is a five week class, we meet at 5:30pm on the following Sundays: October 1, 8, 15, 22 and November 12 The fee of the five session is $275. There is an additional $30 material fee to be purchased from the instructor. A Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), Vicki Huebner, has been working with dogs since the early 1990s. She teaches obedience and sports classes. In addition to the CPDT-KA certification, she is a professional member of the APDT, and an AKC CGC Certified Examiner. She currently competes with her current dog, Jewel in the odor detection sports including nose work, trailing and locating, antler shed and lost item recovery. She employs only the most modern, dog-friendly (and people-friendly) training methods, adhering to the CCPDT Code of Ethics. Payment information for class materials fee. There is a $30 materials fee payable to the instructor. Dogs must be able to remain in a covered crate or exercise pen. All dogs in the class must be able to work around and near other dogs without reacting to them (no barking, lunging, growling or biting).
