Control Unleashed: Out & About (Level 3) Ready to take your Control Unleashed skills out into the real world? You and your dog have mastered the patterns inside the safety of the training room. Your dog knows the rhythm of Look at That, Up & Down, and the 1-2-3 Game. But what happens when you step out the front door and onto the sidewalk? Control Unleashed: Out & About is the ultimate next step for graduates of our Control Unleashed and Advanced Control Unleashed classes. This 6-week course transitions your dog’s favorite CU patterns from the controlled studio into real-world, evening environments. Using our training center, the parking lot, and the surrounding neighborhood, we will help your dog find comfort, focus, and connection on every walk. What We Will Cover: · The Parking Lot Transition: Master the critical "car-to-sidewalk" pipeline. Learn how to use CU patterns to help your dog decompress the moment they exit the vehicle. · Real-World Sidewalk Navigation: Learn how to fluidly deploy Give Me a Break, Superbowls, and parallel walking patterns on neighborhood sidewalks. · Handling Evening Triggers: Practice navigating common neighborhood distractions like barking dogs behind fences, joggers, bicycles, garbage cans, and changing evening shadows. · Handler Strategy: Learn to read the environment in low-light conditions, split criteria on the fly, and use the urban/suburban border to your advantage. Class Progression: This class will meet at the training center each week, gradually expanding our boundaries as the dogs gain confidence and focus.
