Drop-In Beginner Obedience Perfect if you can't commit to a six-week course! Our drop-in classes are intentionally kept small, making them a great fit for dogs that are friendly, excited, or neutral around other dogs and people. In this Beginner Obedience class, you and your dog will learn and practice: Sit Down Stay Settle Attention and focus Loose-leash walking Recall (come when called) Drop It Leave It Go to Place We are committed to positive reinforcement training and use food, toys, play, and real-life rewards to teach and strengthen behaviors. We do not use or recommend prong collars. However, if your dog is currently using one and you would like help transitioning away from it, you're welcome to join us. Please contact us first so we can assess which class would be the best fit for you and your dog. We also offer a Reactive Dog Class for dogs that need a different learning environment. This class is suitable for: Dogs 6 months of age and older Dogs with little or no previous training Dogs needing a refresher course Dogs that would benefit from practicing obedience around other dogs Requirements: Dogs must be current on their Distemper, Parvo, and Rabies vaccinations. Please bring proof of vaccination on the first day of class. (Please do not email vaccination records.) Dogs must be comfortable around people and other dogs and should not display fear-based or reactive behavior in a group setting.
